Join us on Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy “Weekend with the Fleet”, celebrating Westport’s Commercial Fishing and Maritime Industry.
Saturday morning, plan to visit our commercial fishing festival. Complete with arts & crafts for children, informational displays, commercial fishing related competitions, Seascout displays, vendors, beer garden, food, and more! Festival is at the Westport Maritime Museum grounds from 10am-4pm.
Saturday evening enjoy Fisherpoets at the Westport Maritime Museum “Lens” Hall. Enjoy beer/ wine and poetry reading. Readings start at 7pm. The “Light the Dock Celebration” lighting luminaries along Westhaven Drive in honor of loved ones. Festivities start at 7:30pm. Luminaries available to purchase and decorate.
Sunday join us for the Blessing of the Fleet ceremony beginning at 1pm at the Fishermen’s Memorial on Neddie Rose Dr. accompanied by the Coast Guard, the VFW, and many local fishing families. The Coast Guard dropping of the wreath and Parade of Boats out of the marina including Grays Harbor Seascout’s vessels the R.A. MacDonald and the A-1. Immediately following the Blessing Ceremony is a Clam Chowder Feed at McCausland Hall 11:30-3pm hosted by WEfish. All proceeds go toward our local Lost Fishermen’s Fund.Questions?
